A little about me....

So, this whole blogging thing is a little new to me, but I am so super excited to get started at it! I am 26 years old, and married to the love of my life. We have 2 pups, Lila and Bailey, both beagles. They pretty much run our household as any only dog household goes. My real job is being a nurse at a local hospital, which I love. My side job however, is being a patient. Diagnosed 4 years ago with an extremely rare autoimmune disease called Neuromyelitis Optica, and it has changed my world in more ways than I can explain! I hope you enjoy reading about my journey. If you have any questions or requests, don't hesitate to send me a message!

  1. I am from the NMO group. I became paralyzed and blind in 20 days in 2006. My girls at the time were 9 months and 3. I can walk now do to a fantastic neurologist who gave me 1000 mg of steroids per day for 10 days. I can see from the eye that went down second. I was down for a long time and have a lot of damage. I suffer from fatigue, muscle spasms and nerve pain. Other than that, I am great lol. I am a strong and determine person and push myself beyond my limites. I don't know if you mind me putting this on your blog. If so, please remove it. Sincerely, Gina
